Byron Bay Surf Club made an incredible setting for this boho wedding, which took its inspiration from one of Australia’s best beaches. The happy couple Nathan and Bree first met in Byron Bay 4 years ago, so it seemed fitting that they should celebrate the start of married life at this brilliant venue.

Nathan’s proposal was one of the most impressive we’ve heard about to date! He took Bree to the top of a scissor lift, where they would quite often enjoy a glass of wine and check out the views from high above. When Bree reached the top she saw a huge banner on the roof with the words, “Breezie will you marry me?” Of course she said yes! He’d even organised a cheese platter and seafood dinner for the evening!

The couple told us their relationship was “meant to be,” and we couldn’t agree more. They said that marriage means a lifelong best friend, and someone to share dreams and aspirations with. It’s someone to laugh with every day, and someone to count on – always.

The venue looked incredible with floral decorations provided by the couple’s close friend

Kirsty King. Melanie Jane and Aleesha provided hair and make-up for the bridal party, and catering was taken care of by The Larder. Bree chose a dress designed by Grace Loves Lace.

Bree walked down the aisle to ‘Only Love’ by Ben Howard, telling us she chose the song because Nathan is her only love. She said seeing her new husband’s smile as she walked down the aisle was one of her favourite moments of the whole day, as well as hearing those special vows that he’d clearly put so much thought into.

Once the romantic ceremony ended, the couple hit the dance floor, dancing to ‘You’re the Inspiration’ by Chicago. They’ve both always loved the song, as it brings back so many memories of happy times singing together as they travelled the world. They told me that every single lyric in the song describes the way they feel about each other – it might be cheesy but it’s true!

Following their wedding celebrations the couple jetted off on an epic honeymoon, visiting Langkawi in Malaysia, before travelling on to Phuket in Thailand. I bet this pair made full use of the amazing beaches they spotted on their travels!
