Kindness and quirkiness exuded both of these lovers, During a day that celebrated the love they held so dearly for each other. With a modern rustic vibe throughout, Linda and Brodie included a beautiful Chinese Wedding Tea Ceremony. This came after the formalities to show gratitude towards their parents for all the years of nurture and love. In turn, family expressed their blessings for the newlyweds and welcomed all extended relatives into a forever family.
As a Brisbane Wedding photographer, it is all about capturing those candid moments. Those little pieces of happiness that unfold in the split of a second. Frozen to last a lifetime. In one of Brisbane’s most stunning and unique wedding venues, Linda and Brodie set their hearts free and filled our day with laugh out loud moments and unforgettable stories; and with that comes the tale of the ‘blood, sweat and tears proposal’ – yes, you read that correctly!
“The block of land we had bought to build our forever home on was cut and accessible. I had recently bought the ring and was itching to get down on one knee. I eventually convinced Linda to go to the block where I took a bottle of Moët with us that we got when we first got together. Linda complained the whole way out there. We trekked through rugged terrain in 40 degree, Linda insisted on staying as far away from me as possible (well it seemed like that at the time). Eventually I convinced her to come over to me, I said to her “have I told you how much I love you lately?” To which she replied jokingly replied “have I told you how frustrating you’ve been lately?” To which I replied with my home run swing, well I thought we could get our first picture of us on our block and we should get it as an engaged couple, and from there I made the descent down Mount Everest to be on one knee (well it seemed like that anyway), Linda started crying (tears of happiness of course) and she said yes. At the conclusion I had a sliced knee from 40 degree rocks my knee was subject to. So I came out with a wife to be a battle wound to show for my efforts. I call it the blood, sweat and tears proposal.”
So, while romance was flying high, it was their humble hearts and these sweet stories that lit up an entire day of fun filled celebrations.
Thank you Linda and Brodie.
