Nakyta and Nick tied the knot at a beautiful garden wedding which was Aussie through and through. The couple chose to combine vintage and country influences. This Created a unique, vintage theme which fit their personalities.

Ultimately, The springtime celebration was attended by 100 guests, as well as the couple’s two adorable puppers Zelda and Jagger. The wedding itself was an epic celebration held at Nakyta’s parents’ home. Floral decorations were personal as can be, having been made by Nick’s mum. Many other bespoke touches were created by the couple and their family and friends. This made for a truly individual wedding design, with incredible attention to detail.

Consequently, Nakyta said, “creating everything yourself is very rewarding but I would say make sure you start early. Consequently, We took the whole twelve months making the larger items and seeking decorations. Therefore, a lot of hard work, the more time you allow to do this the easier it is.”

Most noteworthy, Nakyta chose to wear her mum’s dress for the ceremony, having promised to do so since she was seven years old! It was a lovely surprise for her mum when she appeared in the original dress, Nakyta’s “something borrowed” for the day.

The stand out moment for Nick, was seeing his beautiful bride walk down the aisle. Nakyta walked to Big Jet Plane – the song that was playing the first time Nick told Nakyta that he loved her.  Above all, Nakyta’s favourite moment from the day was seeing the look on Nick’s face when she dropped in a reference to Lord of the Rings – it was priceless!

Most noteworthy, the couple summed up their relationship in three words. Loyalty, Fun and Annoyance! Therefore, Talking about what marriage means, Nakyta told me that to her it is “a commitment that through all the ups and downs no matter what we will support, love and forgive each other. It’s a choice to grow together and build together. Thereupon, to Stand by each other in both the good and the bad times.” Groom Nick echoed her sentiments, saying that to him it means “because you have found the one you want to build your life with. Someone you would enjoy telling your grandchildren about.

Even more, their lovely, intimate garden ceremony the couple partied long into the night, staying up to watch the sun rise on their first morning as Mr and Mrs. It was then on to their blissful honeymoon, a surprise getaway gifted to the couple by Nakyta’s family. They jetted off to Peppers in Noosa for a week of relaxation, and next year the newlyweds are planning a big trip to Europe.
